Been very busy lately... Who not right???

One day only have 24hours where got enough.... Sometime, I really hope I have more than 24 hours....

Monday to Friday everyday got "chores" to do...

Saturday and Sunday are my so called "off day" .... Even though, it is called "off day" but still is not enough right??? 2 days in a week only...

Anyway, Xmas is near... what are your plan for Xmas???

Any idea what gift to give to your loved one, friends and families yet???

No bloody idea what I want or give.... BLOODY HELL ....

Oh well, better spend my time blogging about something useful than...

*Disclaimer: I always cooked this when I have no time and when I have no motivation (a.k.a LAZY) .. It works!!!!!! *

No time to cook?? Cause you spend too much time Facebook-ing, watching TV or Instragram-ing?? 

Wanna impress your loved one you are actually the "Real Deal" and not some "Kitchen Destroyer" or worst "Kitchen Dummy" ???

Hardly cooked and when it is time to cook you are facing a huge problem???

To be honest, I was once the fella I mentioned above... Come on, everyone been through it.. I don't cook and I bet lots of girls out there are the same.... We either have our mom or maid doing it....right??

Anyway, when I am forced to cooked for myself or for someone... I tend to struggle with the main question... WHAT TO COOK???? WHAT THE MOST SIMPLEST WAY TO PREPARE A MEAL???

After a period of time, I realized that cooking a simple noodle soup is the simplest for me... 

Therefore, I decided to share it with ya... the Fastest and Simplest way to cook something nice and delicious.... Guarantee can impress someone... providing they are not picky and they can gobble down everything and anything

Let start shall we???

It is call....

TOM YAM NOODLE SOUP

Roughly 4 serving... can be less or can be more.. depending on your serving...Mine was 4 Serving... 


Roughly around 30-45 minuets (My fastest record: less than 30 min)

1) For the soup:
1x small Beijing Cabbage
3x Ripe Tomato
2 or 3x Tom Yam flavored cubes ( You can replace it with chicken or beef cubes)


 2) Noodle:
Pan Mee/ Kuey Teow/ Yee Mee/ Maggi Mee/ Mee/ Bihun/ Soya Mee etc


3) Additional Ingredients:
1x Fish Cake (whole packet)
1x Crab Stick (4 sticks)

Ingredients

(You can replace it with fresh meats/ fishballs/ seafood or vege... Don't really have to follow my estimation here... )


1) Start by boiling 1 litre of water using water broiler 

2) When water is boiling, start by cutting up all the ingredients, such as: 
Tomatoes:Remove the middle stem thingy, cut it into half and than slice it into wedges 

Beijing Cabbage: Cut it into half (You can use the whole cabbage or just half of it), remove the stem thingy, slice it into wedges and than cut it rougly... 



(You have to start with the vege first, as the vege gives the soup additional flavour... sourness from the tomatoes and the sweetness from the cabbage... Fish cakes and crab stick can cut later on when the veges are boiling)

3) Once the water is boil, pour the whole kettle of water into a pot and start boiling the tomatoes first

4) Start boiling the tomatoes using high flame

(Using high flame, therefore, keep a look out of the fire.... time is limited here)

5) Continue cutting the rest of the ingredients
Fish Cakes: Slice it thinly

Ignore the messiness on the chopping board

Crab Stick: You can either cut it into half or slice it thinly

6) Add in Crab Stick and 2 cubes of Tom Yam Cubes after 10 minutes of cooking

7) Keep boiling it, the soup should start to change its colour from clear to cloud/ murky than to orangy (Thanks to the cubes)... Taste the soup, see whether do you need to add another cube for flavoring or not...

8) Let it boil for a while longer than this simple dish is done... If you are eating it immediately, use another separate pot and scoop  some of the soup and ingredients inside and add in your desire noodle... DO NOT ADD THE NOODLE INTO THE SOUP POT... Dont need me to explain why right??? 


This is definitely one of the easiest and fastest way to prepare a meal for yourself or for your loved one... 

Lazy person always find ways to outsmart each other right??

Being a Malaysian, I think we are really spoilt with the array of choices given to us...

Think about it...

You want budget clothing, you can shop in FOS (Factory Outlet Store) or Reject Shop...

You want Japanese, you can go to Sushi Zanmai or Sushi King...

You want to watch a movie, you can go to GSC (Golden Screen Cinema) or Cathay Cineplex...

You want Delicious Donuts, you can go to Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme....

You want to go to a gym, you can go to Fitness First or Celebrity Fitness....

And the list can go on and on....

So, aren't we spoilt with choices???

 Main point is, since we are given like too many choices, I am spoilt with them and I have no idea where or which to go to... Don't you feel the same???

Anyway, we were in IPC Shopping Centre the other day and we decided to have dinner there...

So, the Choice Dilemma pops out!!!!!!

Tough choice since there is like so many restaurants and food outlets to choose from... Budgety to pricey, Chinese to Italian and many more... ARGH!!!

Don't forget that IPC is also connected to Ikea, Tesco, Cineleisure and e@ Curve... DOUBLE ARGH!!!!!!!!

After a long discussion, finally decided on Papa John's Pizza

I was a bit skeptical with the restaurant... why?? Cause there was no people in the restaurant... Totally vacant... and the time was like only 8pm... How can a restaurant being empty at 8pm right?? That like the most busiest period during dinner time..

Empty??

Huh??

For the sake of trying new stuff, we decided to have a meal that anyway!!!!!!

Brief Explanation of Papa John's Pizza, this franchise is a international well establish restaurant chain from the US... not only that, Papa John's Pizza is the 3rd largest pizza chain in the world.... right after Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza...

Founder- Mr John Schnatter

I just did some research and found out that John begin selling his pizzas from a converted broom closet in Mick Lounge, Indiana in the year 1984.... Can you believe it??? And now, he owns like a total of 3,700 restauranst in 32 countries...and I am guessing he is still expanding his pizza chain..

He believed that, by using freshly made dough and superior quality ingredients he can create the Better Quality Pizza... Such a simple rule right? Oh right, John, I take up the challenge and give your pizza a try.... *Cross finger that it is going to be worth it*

There is 3 different sizes to choose from... ranges from 6' inch original pizza, 9' inch original or thin pizza and 12' inch original pizza...

Jin being the technical guy is not good with describing the size of the pizza.... therefore, we decided to ask the server how big is a 6'inch pizza... Guess what he say... "Personalize portion... Not very big... Roughly the size of the plate"

WTF!!!! THAT SMALL!!!! Nv mind.... since decided on the 6'inch... we stick to it...

Fisherman Catch Pizza

Thick crust pizza which comes with chunky Crab Stick, Tuna, fresh Green Peppers and onions top with lots of Mozzarella Cheese...


It might look small, but honestly speaking, the portion is really feeling... more than enough.... Nic was kinda struggling with his personal pizza...

The crust is really crunchy not like those frozen pizza you can get from the supermarket... Not only that, they are not stingy with the ingredients as well... quite a generous portion of fresh ingredients.. All the ingredients complement each other really well...

2) Super Papa 6'inch Pizza

Super Papa Pizza consist of Italian Sausages, Pepperonis, Chicken Role, Fresh Mushrooms, Onions, Green Peppers and last but not lease, Black Olive...

Super worth it for the price I am paying.... Well, I am talking bout the different selection of ingredients they are putting on my pizza... compare to Nic the merman's pizza...

To me, the pizza taste better than the Fisherman Catch. It has more bites in it in term of texture, because of the Onions, Green Peppers and Black Olives... Fisherman Catch consist of mostly soft ingredients, while mine is a mixture of hard and soft ingredients...

Cheese topping is not as much as the Fisherman Catch that for sure... but just nice for this pizza... Lucky me!!!

Taste wise, not too dry which is a plus...

3) All The Meat 6'inch Pizza

No picture and comment from this picture, cause Jin the Barbarian gobble everything without giving me a chance to take picture of it...

His comment while enjoying his pizza was:" It all right..." though

WTF!!!!!

Less than RM50.... For a change, I think Papa John's Pizza is really worth it.... and definitely better than Pizza Hut...

Sorry for the late update on Malacca... Been really busy recently and wasn't feeling so well that why... anyway, let continue on with the Malacca trip post than shall we??

So after that, le companion and me went to Jonker Walk...

Jonker Walk a.k.a Jonker Street 

Please be informed that, some shops are close on Monday though... Because of the busy weekend before that...If you wanna make your visit to Melaka more worth it, drop by during weekends....

I just love Jonker Walk or Jonker street...the rows and  rows of Colonial time buidings remind me of Penang...

Not only that, interesting goodies that are been sold inside each shop are also captivating... Wood carving, nyonya bead shoes, batik design and many more...

Local delicalies are also sold there as well.. such as my fav Onde- onde and other delicious mouth watering nyonya kuih...

Ice Potong???

Went pass a shop that sells such cute ice potong thingy.... comes with lot of different flavour as well.. choose one on a hot sunny day and it won't go wrong...

Coffee is also famous there as well.. Since it is really a hot weather... spotted one shop which has like a small pushcart outside of it shop selling really cheap and refreshing coffee... Was really tempted by Sin Sing Coffee therefore, bough a cup and enjoy it with le companion

Lovely chilling coffee on a hot sunny day...

I am not a coffee person, but this coffee is really not strong for my liking.. I love the after taste it gave me... the minty minty flavor on the tongue and throat... It is really refreshing that I feel that my body cool down a lot after the drink.... Give Sin Seng Coffee a try!!!

Went pass this interesting park.... nothing much really.. just Mr Muscle Man statue only... heard that he was quite a famous icon during his days....

Chinese temple...

Headed to the nearby Kuan Yin temple for a short prayer... Not much picture taken over here though, I am scared that I disturb the deities over here... just in case... Quite a old temple.. When I was there, there was a young chinese couple releasing a cage of birds... Bet they are doing some ritual or something... Wonder what they wish for anyway..

We wanted to go to the Baba and Nyonya Museum to have a look, but sadly, it is close for renovation... and only a certain part of the museum is open, best part of all, no camera are allow.... T.T why why why!!!!!! Entrance fee still have to pay but you don't give me take some pictures...

In the end, decided to go shopping around Jonker Walk.. save my money for the goodies... Yeah!!!

Spotted an old antique shop along Jonker Walk, the old shopkeeper was really nice and give us permission to take some photo... So, le companion took a few snap shot here and there for reference.... It is a heritage that should continue to "live" ya know!!!

 It was really nice of the shopkeeper for letting us snap some photos of his goods.... Really had a good time viewing his stuff, wanted to buy something from him as a token of appreciation, but, the price is over my head... therefore, can't get myself anything though....

Was getting really hungry afterward, therefore, for the a treat we headed for --->Satay..... NOPE!!! not the renown "Satay Celup".... but famous "Satay Babi" (a.k.a Pork Satay or Barbeque Pork on Stick)

I am sure you tried before all-you-can-eat buffet right?? Have you tried before all-you-can eat Satay Babi??? o.0 .... What with the eye??

Its really easy.. step right into the shop, get a perfect seat right under the fan or air-con, order yourself a cup beverage of your choice, wait for the fella to serve you with ample supply of delicious succulent Pork Satay... No need to inform him how much you want... he is physic (he somehow know the appropriate amount though).... They will keep refilling for ya.... No worries if you can't finish it..

If you are a dare devil... ask them if they have some Pork Intestine or some Pork Liver as well... They serve that as well... But just double check with them as their supply is quite limited...

Satay Babi... Pork Satay

Now, I am hungry... The portion is small compare to the normal Chicken Satay that I am use to though... But the texture is really good... Sometime, I though I am having chicken instead of Pork... A thin layer of fat is sandwich in between 2 thinly sliced Pork...  The Pork meat is season with enough sauce and barbeque till it is really crispy and tender... How cool that??

Serve with home-made Pineapple Sauce with a dash of chili oil.. Not only that, come with the standard rice, cucumber and onion... You can get pieces of Pineapple slices in it as well... I have fun fishing the slices out.... Oh ya, the sauce really goes well with the Pork Satay...

Once we checked- in, we didn't leave the suite... it was afternoon at that time and the sun is freaking freaking hot.... None of us are motivated to move our lazy bum bum... so, we stayed in the room and watch tv.... and accidentaly fall asleep cause it is so cooling... Opps!!!

Woke up and realised it is almost evening... So we went to the Executive Club Lounge to enjoy the evening cocktail and small buffet spread.... It is a Exce. Club Privilledge... Don't waste it!!!

The evening cocktail comes with unlimited alcoholic beverages, quite a number of selection... but we skip that...

Oh ya, that was our dinner though... the evening cocktail buffet spread has a limited selection of food... but is ok, it keep us full for quite some time... 

As for supper, went to their lounge at Lobby area to get our self a sandwich, it was selling at 50% off... only around RM4.00 my sandwich if I remember correctly.. 

After that, went back to room and chill for the rest of the night and fall asleep...

That all for Malacca for now... Will update the last day soon... with my shopping haul together...
